Landscape Architect III / Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:
Pond has an immediate need for a Landscape Architect to join our Landscape Architecture studio team in the role of Project Manager. The position is in our Headquarters office, located in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Qualified individuals will be licensed Professional Landscape Architects; registration in Georgia, or another state where your license in Georgia by reciprocity can be obtained. Additionally, qualified individuals will have a minimum of 8-12 years of experience, with at least 2 of those years as a project manager. Experience with private development, parks and recreation, higher education, and/or governmental work is necessary. Experience leading a multi-disciplinary production team through the design and construction documents phases (including specification writing), as well as through the construction administration phase, is required. Successful employees at Pond & Company share a team based operating philosophy and will have experience working with multiple disciplines assigned to a project; Projects may be led by the Landscape Architecture staff or LA will be part of a team led by different programs in the company. Local travel in Metro-Atlanta is a regular part of the job. Travel throughout the state of Georgia and to our other offices and/or project sites throughout the country should be anticipated. The ideal Project Manager will build strong relationships with our team, our clients, and our consulting partners. In addition to managing projects the Project Manager will also work to expand our client network, assist in writing project proposals, and work with our team to meet goals.

Job Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an accredited Landscape Architecture program, with at least 8-12 years of experience, minimally 2 of which as a project manager. The person who fills this role must be a licensed Professional Landscape Architect (PLA). Related degrees in combination with relevant experience and licensure will also be highly considered. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with people, and strong presentation skills. LEED Accreditation or similar certification is a plus.
