Net Positive Atlanta: Subtropical Solutions – Oct. 17-18

October 17, 2018 - October 18, 2018

The Georgia Institute of Technology is hosting Net Positive Atlanta: Subtropical Solutions – focused on the success stories of pioneering Living Building Challenge project teams as they pursue the world’s most rigorous green building standard in this hot and humid climate.
Achieving Living Buildings in the subtropics calls for inspired, regionally-appropriate design and engineering. Project team members from Georgia Tech’s own Kendeda Building and Alabama’s Gulf State Park Interpretive Center will be on hand to highlight unique net positive water and net positive energy solutions.
This symposium is for design and construction professionals, sustainability directors, faculty/educators, students, community organizers, administrators, operations staff, and policy professionals. Net Positive Atlanta will inspire, instruct, and engage—providing attendees with tools, information, lessons and regional partnerships to achieve and leverage Living Buildings in the Subtropical southeast.
